Australian Cuts AUSTRALIAN CUTS
You’ve already heard about ABSOLUT CUT. A Swedish spirit tonic that
combines the flavors of lime, orange and tangerine. In late May, an
extensive, visually-based launch took place in Australia, under the
name of ABSOLUT CUTS.
Some 40 of Australia’s most promising photographers were contacted and
asked to give their version of their city - Sydney, Melbourne,
Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth were all represented. Each photographer
submitted three pictures, to show three “cuts” of their town.
The
motifs range from the young couple seeking to ward off the rain with a
tiny umbrella at the Mardi Gras in Sydney, a dustbin on a sidewalk in
Brisbane, or a store-owner in Sydney mopping the floor before closing
time. The resulting 120 photos will form the start for a photo gallery
that has been evolving at www.absolutcut.com.au since 21 April.
