Metropolis World Tour

ABSOLUT METROPOLIS, the communication project advertised in leading international trend press and shot in Japan in spring 2005, is a global success.

The project is all about self expressions. People off the streets dressed in clothes created under the auspices of Japanese fashion designer Piyuupiru and portrayed by star photographer Nadav Kander, have featured in fashion and lifestyle magazines all over the world since July 2005. ABSOLUT METROPOLIS has continued, with exhibition parties in the world's metropolises. In London, an event was held at the 291 Gallery in Hackney. During a sneak preview of the next edition of TRACE Magazine - the media partner for ABSOLUT METROPOLIS - the pictures from the campaign were shown, and guests were served ABSOLUT cocktails and sushi to music played by a Japanese DJ.

In New York, the party was co-organized with Tokion magazine. Drinks were served and postcards with ABSOLUT METROPOLIS motifs were distributed to the guests. In San Francisco the event was co-hosted by Planet magazine. Guests could feast their eyes on the campaign prints in frames designed by students from the San Francisco School of Art. The Paris celebration was magnificent at the modern art museum Palais de Tokyo on 21 September (picture above) in connection with an exhibition of works by Nadav Kander, the photographer behind the campaign. The concluding events will be held in Tokyo and in Guangzhou, China.

The campaign continues for the rest of this year and will feature in some 45 magazines globally. Whatever you do, don't miss the website
